Hello everyone, and welcome to the DSI Updates blog! We’ll be using this blog to bring you news and updates from Iowa State University’s Digital Scholarship and Initiatives Department (DSI).

Our department (DSI) was founded last summer, bringing together the Digital Initiatives and Digital Repository (now Scholarly Publishing Services). DSI supports research, teaching and learning by facilitating digital scholarship and providing open access to digital materials that embody the scholarly, cultural, and creative activities of Iowa State University. The Digital Initiatives Program draws from the University Library’s rare, unique and uncommon local collections to develop digital resources that support scholarship, teaching, and learning. Scholarly Publishing Services provides self-archiving support, online research profiles, and publishing/hosting services in an open access environment through the Iowa State University Digital Repository and Digital Press.
