//The campanile tolls midnight// just as you lock up the Farm House Museum, which means it is officially Halloween. You smile as you stroll down the path, reflecting on the success of running your first official event as an intern with the museums. Everyone loved the historic murder mystery, complete with a faux séance put on by students from the theater department. You glance over your shoulder to admire the full moon, when you notice ''the curtains are open in the bedroom upstairs.'' That’s odd; you could have sworn you closed the curtains and pinned them shut, just like the curator instructed, in order to make sure no early morning sun could sneak in and fade the antique rug and bed spread. You...

[[Turn back to go close the curtains.|Turn Back]] Sure, tomorrow is supposed to be overcast, but it will drive you nuts all night thinking about those curtains.</p>
//Good news,// you got a good night’s sleep. Bad news, ''you’re fired.'' Not only were the curtains open, but somehow the window was open too and a horrible storm rolled in and the rain destroyed all the antique furniture.

That explains why you probably forgot to shut these curtains; but as you open the safety pins and pin the curtains shut you are struck with a sense of déjà vu, but you shake off the feeling. You head down the stairs and lock up the house. As you walk down the brick path you hear an odd pinging sound, almost like rocks hitting glass. You look around, trying to figure out where the sound is coming from, and see that curtains in the upstairs bedroom are open again! ''That’s impossible! You are sure you closed them!'' This is too weird. You...

A chill runs up your spine as you turn the door knob and push the door open. Sure enough, the curtains are pulled
back, and from the doorway you see the moonlight glinting off the four safety pins you had just used to secure the curtains laying on the floor. Not only are the curtains spread wide, but the window is open. Just then ''you hear the old phone in the hall ring.'' You...
